Discovering New Franchise Solutions

In his recent book, Franchising: The Inside Story, author David Foster points out that the “franchise phenomenon is both a driving force and a reflection of public tastes in food, fashion, and personal services.” All over the world, he notes, franchises are transforming simple ideas into fulfilled dreams.

With franchise businesses making up 50 percent of all retail sales in the United States, and employing more than 14 million people, the viability of this industry grows stronger every year. And with potential opportunities comes the need for franchisors to develop a strong marketing and distribution strategy for their network of franchises.

In order to become more involved with the ever-growing franchise industry, SproutLoud has become a Supplier Member of the International Franchise Association (IFA). As part of our membership, we will be applying our expertise in marketing and technology to optimize business strategy and growth opportunities for IFA members. Additionally, we are also looking forward to furthering our understanding of the business goals in this industry, and applying lessons learned to augment our Marketing Resource Management (MRM) solution. This is something we are very passionate about.

Since 2005, SproutLoud has grown our online MRM application to support national brands in promoting their products and services by engaging their local networks. Many of our current clients are franchisors, relying on our user-friendly platform to organize assets, maintain brand compliance, and empower franchises in their network to realize their own business goals. In working with these brands, we have developed a strong franchise industry knowledgebase. But we are always looking to evolve our solution for franchise businesses and other industries and markets, in order to help them “fulfill their dreams.”

This will become more evident with the release of our next-level MRM solution – SproutLoud 3.0 – coming this summer. We know that our involvement with the IFA will help our company grow as well. Jared is the Founder and Managing Partner of SproutLoud. Since 2005, he has been primarily responsible for strategic direction of the Company, as well as the oversight of SproutLoud's Partner ecosystem. Prior to SproutLoud, Jared worked in Thomas Weisel Partner’s internet and online advertising investment banking practice in San Francisco. He served as the lead analyst on a number of Corporate Finance and M&A deals including Newscorps’ buyout of Intermix Media ( Jared graduated with a B.A. in Finance and Marketing from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. Jared has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and is a member of the Young President's Organization (YPO). Jared has been honored as one of a Top 40 under 40 Entrepreneur by South Florida Business Journal and a Top 50 Entrepreneur by Business Leader Magazine.
